US Air Force Recap #1

From all accounts that I can find, everybody involved in this crash are going to be ok. Hindsight is always 20/20 and this race has been safe for several years the way is has been run. There was something in the air this weekend though that made for some extra high heart rate racing nervousness. Tough lesson learned for many. In my x # of years racing a bike and watching bike racing, this is definitely a first. Props to Ruggles for making a courageous bunny hop attempt at 30mph.

I'm hoping that this video doesn't distract from the real problem of Sunday's race. I took a picture of the road surface after corner #3 to illustrate.

That is an exact photo of turn 3. I should have raced on my 30s.

Official is doing ok. She got 5 stitches and is not allowed to move her arm for a week. Could have been much worse. She's grateful everyone else is doing ok.
